Bio Michele Pirro has risen to the top of national tennis since he was very young with victories in the junior team world championships, Coppa de Galea, European Cup, with the champions of the time Nicola Pietrangeli, Fausto Gardini, Orlando Sirola , Beppe Merlo and Sergio Tacchini.

In his career he has won 160 tournaments, as well as participations in Wimbledon, Roland Garros and Davis Cup tournaments.

Since 1965, he has lived in Campione d'Italia, contributing both as a player and as an organizer to the promotion of tennis in the Canton Ticino, with generations of the strongest tennis players of Ticino trained under his guidance.

He had been the captain of the Italian youth teams in the sixties in collaboration with Mario Belardinelli. He was a good level player, he won the absolute Italian Championships of male doubles paired with Sergio Jacobini in 1961 and five times the absolute Italian mixed double championships. In 1962 paired with the Florentine Francesca "La Cecca" Gordigiani and paired with the Roman Roberta Beltrame (who became the wife of Gerardo Bonardi) from 1963 to 1966.
