| Bio | She is a Croatian tennis player. She began on ITF circuit in 2021 reaching two 15K semifinals at Sibenik on clay and Monastir on hard. On the ITF Junior Circuit, Marčinko had won nine singles and seven doubles titles. She achieved the number-one junior ranking on December 13, 2021. In December 2021, she completed a remarkable late-season surge as singles and doubles victories at the prestigious Orange Bowl championships saw her climb nine places to finish as the year-end junior world No. 1. At the beginning of 2022, she won her first junior Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, defeating Sofia Costoulas in the final, in straight sets. Marčinko made her WTA Tour debut at the 2022 Morocco Open in Rabat as a wildcard, defeating Rebecca Peterson, before losing to Astra Sharma in the second round. She won three ITF titles in 2022; two at W25 Antalya and one at W80 Poitiers. Also represented Croatia in Billie Jean Cup Playoffs defeating Niemeier. She won her sixth consecutive ITF Women's Circuit title at the 2023 Caldas da Rainha Ladies Open, defeating Léolia Jeanjean in the final in straight sets, and set the new Croatian record for the youngest women's player to win six professional singles titles before turning 18. In 2023 achieved best Tour-level result with R16 at Monastir (lost to eventual runner-up, Jasmine Paolini). She won her Q1 Grand Slam matches at Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open. Having been given a wildcard entry, Marčinko was runner-up at the WTA 125 2024 Montreux Nestlé Open, losing to seventh seed Irina-Camelia Begu in the final in three sets. In July 2025, Marčinko won her first WTA 125 title at the 2025 ATV Tennis Open in Rome on clay, defeating Oksana Selekhmeteva in the final and closed the season with an ITF W100 title at Dubai to climb to a career-high ranking of No.82 in December. |
