Biography

Jean Schopfer was a Swiss-born French player. He was educated at the Sorbonne and the École du Louvre in Paris. In addition to his talents as a writer.
He reached two singles finals at the Amateur French Championships, winning in 1892 over British player Fassitt, and losing in 1893 to Laurent Riboulet.
He was the member of Societe sportive de I'lle de Puteaux.
Schopfer died in 1931.
