Bio He was an Austrian tennis player.

Matejka, a left-handed player from Vienna, represented Austria in the Davis Cup from 1927 to 1934 in 8 events with a record of 22 wins and 13 losses. In 1928 it reached the quarter-finals of the European zone, as in 1930 and 1934.
In a 1932 tie against Germany he held a match point against Gottfried von Cramm, before falling 6–8 in the fifth set. He had two Davis Cup wins over Roderich Menzel and beat Uberto De Morpurgo in 1933. A six-time national champion, he won the Austrian International Championship in 1934, defeating countryman Georg von Metaxa in the final. He has participated without much success in Roland Garros and Wimbledon from 1928 to 1935. He reached the fourth round of the French Championships three times and made it as far as the third round at the Wimbledon Championships.

At the Eastern Mediterranean Tennis Championships in 1928 he lost in the singles final to Roderick Menzel, he also lost in the doubles final with Munk, to the pair of Roderick Menzel and František Soyka. He was winner of the Belgian International Championship in 1930, the Austrian International Championship in 1931 and 1934, Cannes in 1933.
