Bio Hecht graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Commerce and Finance, Class of 1935.

He was a four time winner of the National Indoor Singles Tennis Competition; in 1929 in the Boys Championship, and in 1930, 1931, and 1932 in the Junior Championship. During his retirement on Longboat Key, he was a member of the Longboat Key Club Senior Men's Red Team, in five years of undefeated doubles competition.

He was president and owner of Guaranteed Parts Co., Inc. of Seneca Falls, NY, the Marketing Division, as well as General Products Corporation of Union Springs, NY, and Ocram Corporation, of Seneca Falls, NY, manufacturers of small automotive parts for both the replacement and original market.

He was a former director of the State Bank of Seneca Falls, NY, and member of the President's Council of Eisenhower College in Seneca Falls, NY, and the Union Springs, NY, zoning board.

He was a charter member of the Union Springs Lions Club and a member of the Union Springs Planning Board. He was a member of Congregation B'Nai Israel in Auburn, NY, and later of Temple Beth Israel on Longboat Key, FL.
He was laid to rest at Oakridge Cemetery, Union Springs, New York.
