Bio Yngayo has joined the department of physical education of the University of the Philippines as assistant physical instructor, taking the place of Felipe Laguatan who resigned to accept the post of physical director at the National University. The appointment of Yngayo was approved at a meeting of the board of regents of the University of the Philippines last Thursday. In 1933, he was a senior in the college of education. Although not as flashy and colorful as Paquito was in his heyday, Yngayo was one of the best players developed in the Philippines in the end of 1920s and early '30s. He has a steady though not strong forehand and a backhand that could hold its own against the best in the business. His biggest weakness, however, was his service.
Yngayo first attracted attention, when he captured the Student Y championship, after which his rise to the top was nothing short of phenomenal. After playing second fiddle to Francisco Aragon for a couple of years, he dethroned the latter in the 1930 national championship and held the title three years until he lost it to Gavia this year. Yngayo was also the current Metropolitan champion, intercollegiate titleholder and winner of a number of other accredited tournaments both here and In the provinces. With Guillermo Aragon, he represented the Philippines in the Davis Cup matches in 1928, going to Europe and losing to Austria in the first round. While he said he hated to desert the amateur ranks, Yngayo stated he was glad to be given an opportunity to coach newcomers to the game.

Yngayo became the physical director of the Liquid Fuel Administration.
