Bio He was born to Jakab Aschner and Matilda in Hungary.
Kalman Aschner won the Hungarian junior tennis championship.
He was the member of the gold-winning team competition with his club (UTE) in 1933-35.
He won the Hungarian National championship in doubles with Otto Szigeti in 1938.
Aschner played in Wimbledon in 1939 in singles and in doubles.
In September of 1941, he married Pauline Bayliss in Chelsea.
In 1947, he became a UK citizen.
In 1949, he changed his name to John Kal Aschner.
On May 8, 2000 he passed away in Richmond Upon Thames, Greater London, England.
