Bio He was a multiple national champion in singles and doubles competition.
In the 1950s, Józef Orlikowski, one of the best Polish players of the time, served in the army in Zamość. However, in our city Orlikowski proved to be mainly an excellent ping-pong player, because he wielded a smaller rocket with equal skill as Dunlop and had someone to play with. However, he couldn't find a training partner on the tennis court.
During the military service in Zamość, he represented the KS Zamość military and on February 27, 1955 in Łódź he won the first medal in the history of the city of the Polish Championships - silver in table tennis (doubles, with Patynksim from Lublin). Later known primarily as a tennis player, among others he played in the Davis Cup (1961-62). He played in doubles paired with Wiesław Nowicki, Wiesław Gąsiorek and Władysław Skonecki. He fought in Ireland, Monaco, France and Norway.
