Bio She is a professional Polish tennis player.

Kania has won one WTA title in doubles, as well as five titles in singles and twelve in doubles on the ITF Women's Circuit. On June 15, 2015, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 128, and on May 2, 2016, she reached her best doubles ranking of No. 58.

Paula was born to Paweł and Zdzisława Kania. She has one sister – Zuzanna. Paula began playing tennis at the age of seven and her favourite surface is hard court. She became a professional player in 2008.

In 2012, Kania and Polina Pekhova won the title on Tashkent Open defeating Anna Chakvetadze and Vesna Dolonc in the final, when their opponents retired after losing the first set 2–6. This was her first WTA title of any kind.

In 2014, having qualified for her first main draw of a Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon, Kania lost in the first round to world No. 2 Li Na in straight sets. The match was also her first singles main draw of any WTA Tour event, after participating in qualifying at 20 tournaments. Kania continued her momentum by qualifying for another main draw a month later, at the Bank of the West Classic.

In addition, she has won at ITF tournaments so far five singles and twelve doubles.

With her finals at the hard court tournaments of Istanbul and Stanford, she made in the double world ranking in August 2014, a jump in the top 100. In May 2016, she reached her 58th career high with 58th place.

In the double competition of the US Open in 2014 she stood for the first time in the second round of a Grand Slam tournament. In 2015 she reached the round of 16 at the French Open.

In February 2013 she first played for the Polish Fed Cup team; in their Fed Cup record, one win and five defeats are recorded.
