Bio She is an American tennis player.
Katie Volynets started playing tennis at the age of five and her preferred surface is hard court. She mainly plays on the ITF Women's Circuit, where she hasn't won any titles yet. She has been training with Mark Orwig at the Moraga Country Club since 2013.
In December 2016, Volynets won the Orange Bowl in the U16 competition.
In 2017 she received a wildcard for the junior singles at the US Open, where she reached the quarter-finals and was eliminated against the later finalist Cori Gauff.
In 2018 she competed at the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open at the junior competitions, but failed in the first or second round.
In 2018, she qualified for the $60,000 tournament in Stockton, near her home in Walnut Creek, California, then made the semifinals at the $25,000 tournament in Florence, South Carolina as a qualifier. In November, in her final two events of the 2018 year, Volynets made the quarterfinals of the $25,000 tournament in Lawrence, Kansas and the semifinals of the $25,000 tournament in Norman, Oklahoma, both after advancing through the qualifying draw. With her WTA ranking moving inside the Top 600 after playing just five Pro Circuit tournaments.
In 2019 she received a wildcard for the qualification for the Oracle Challenger Series - Newport Beach, where she played in the main field with a victory over Alexa Guarachi. There she won in the first round against Mari Ōsaka 6-0, 6-0, but then lost in the second round to Bianca Andreescu in two sets with 2-6, 6-7(7). For the Oracle Challenger Series - Indian Wells, she received a wildcard for the main draw, where she lost 3-6 and 3-6 to Jennifer Brady in the first round.

On August 11, 2019, Volynets won the USTA Girls 18s National Championships, 6–2, 6–4 over Emma Navarro, earning her a wild-card entry into the singles main draw of the 2019 US Open.
